Getting started
What is UdyamScan?
UdyamScan is a free online store for anyone who sells physical products. You add products from your phone and share one link or QR code. Buyers order in their browser without an app, and every order comes to you on WhatsApp.
Is UdyamScan really free?
Yes. Opening a store, adding products and receiving orders cost nothing, and there is no commission on orders. Paid extras, like automatic WhatsApp updates, may come later; everything available today is free.
How long does it take to set up?
About 10 minutes: sign in with your WhatsApp number, set up your store and link, and add your first products.
Do I need GST or a registered business?
No. Individuals can sell. If you have a GSTIN, you can add it to your business details.
What can I sell?
Any physical product: food, clothing, electronics, furniture, art, kits and more. A short list of items is not allowed, such as weapons, drugs and counterfeit goods.
Which phones does it work on?
The seller app works on Android and iPhone. Your store works in any browser, so buyers need nothing.
Orders and WhatsApp
How do orders reach me?
When a buyer places an order, their WhatsApp opens with the full order written to you: products, options, total, delivery and address. They send it, and the order is also in your app under New.
Do my buyers need to install an app?
No. Buyers open your link or scan your QR in any browser and order without an account.
Can I confirm orders quickly?
Yes. Orders with every price known can be confirmed with one tap, or automatically if you turn that on.
What about delivery?
You choose: pickup from your address, local delivery with your own charge and area, or shipping within India or abroad.
What if I don’t know the price yet?
Mark a product “price on request”. Buyers can order it, and you set the final price when you confirm.
Payments
How do I get paid?
Directly, the way you already do: UPI, bank transfer, a payment link or cash. You add your payment details and buyers see them. UdyamScan never handles money.
Does UdyamScan charge commission?
No. There is no commission or fee on any order.
Can buyers pay online inside the store?
Not yet. Online payments are on our roadmap. Today buyers pay you directly.
Buyers, languages and data
Which languages are supported?
The seller app and store pages work in 10 languages, including Hindi, English and Arabic. Buyers can read your products in their language.
Who owns the buyer data?
You do. Each order brings the buyer’s name and WhatsApp number to you. We never sell data, and you can download your orders anytime.
Can buyers track their order?
Yes. Every order has a status page that shows each step.
How is buyer data protected?
Buyer contact details are shown only to the seller of that order and are masked automatically 12 months after the order ends. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
